Processing and Shipping

Items are all made to order unless marked RTS (ready to ship). Processing is 3-5 business days not including shipping time.

Shipping time is additional and estimated as per USPS and given at checkout. Orders with more than 4 items, please add on an extra 2-3 business days. Cancellation only accepted within 48 hours unless the item is already made to order. Items on one order cannot be shipped to two separate addresses without additional shipping charges.

GROUND ADVANTAGE - estimated 2 to 5 business days AFTER processing time

FREE SHIPPING - estimated 2 to 5 business days AFTER processing time

Items with free shipping ships by first class or ground advantage unless it exceeds the weight requirement.

Orders will be shipped to the address you provided at checkout. Please check it carefully prior to submitting an order. Items re-sent due to an incorrect address will result in new shipping charges. This will be the responsibility of the buyer.

There will be no refunds on missing packages due to an incorrect address or package left unclaimed. If package is sent back to me because of address issues, and buyer refuses to pay shipping to have it resent, it will be considered a forced return. There are no refunds on a forced return if item is personalized. If non-personalized, items will be refunded less the original shipping cost and a 15% restocking fee.

Damages, Exchanges and Returns

There are no returns on made to order items that are correctly made/made to given measurements as per listing. There are also no returns for items not received by a specific date unless priority express shipping was purchased, and/or as the seller I explicitly guaranteed before the date. There are no returns on bulk orders, or with an order which have multiples of the same item. Please understand that we are a small made-to-order shop and we simply cannot absorb returns because the customer changed their mind. 

The date must have been left at checkout in the notes AND agreed on in prior messages. Priority mail and first class have estimated delivery guidelines and no guaranteed delivery dates. Shipments by these methods will not be refunded for missing estimated delivery dates provided by the post.

For any exchanges customers pay return shipping and reshipping costs both ways. All exchanges must be discussed prior to sending for my approval and the item sent back within stated number days after delivery. Exchanges must be returned within 14 days after delivery date. Outside of this period, the return will be considered a forced return and the package will be rejected.

If a package is returned without prior authorization, it will be considered a forced return and will be refused/returned to buyer at buyers cost.

With any event-specific items, I require that customers contact me with any issues BEFORE the event. I do not accept returns of event-specific products after the event has passed. Examples such as Kentucky Derby bow ties, Christmas, Easter weekend. I will consider an exchange if there is any issue with the craftsmanship provided I’m informed before the event and the item is sent back before the event.


Pictures of any damage or defect must be shown within 7 days of receiving package or before an event (if item is event specific). There will be no refunds or replacement without pictures provided within the stated period. Please keep and photograph packaging where damage to the product is claimed. 

Payment
Payment must be completed before an order is started. Order processing times begin only after payment is noted in Etsy dashboard. Orders using e-checks begin processing only after check clears.
  Cancellation within 48 hours. After that, and order is started, a 20% restocking fee will be charged as fabric may have already been cut for your specific order.

 

Color and Print Variations 
The color or print seen on the screen may vary depending on your screen calibrations. I try to represent shades and prints as accurately as possible. Be aware that Kente and Bandana fabrics can vary from bolt to bolt, and batch to batch, with some appearing a richer shade than others. This is despite being from the same supplier. Therefore items ordered in different orders may not be an exact match. If a Kente item says may not match with other Kente products, be aware that placing that item in the same order as other kente items does not guarantee a matching in shade. Some African prints have slight print variations that’s a part of the fabric.
All fabrics especially Bandana and African Print are  likely to have inclusions.

 

Shop Sales & Discount Codes
Sale prices are NOT retroactive and sales refunds will not be made on purchases made before a sale became active. ALL discount codes must be entered at the time of purchase.
-  There are no partial refunds based on discount coupon codes that were not applied at the time of purchase.
-  Coupon codes may expire. Unless otherwise stated, assume coupons expire in 21 days. 
-  Coupons are not stackable and I reserve the right to cancel an order with stacked coupons. 

Lost or Stolen Packages within the USA
Packages lost in transit by USPS will be replaced or refunded based on availability of materials. Item if reshipped, will be shipped using same shipping speed paid for by customer. Items are not considered lost before 30 days.

Please provide a safe location for packages at your residence. If package is marked delivered but you cannot find it, please contact your post office. You can request GPS coordinates that show exactly where package was left.

> If package is confirmed left at your residence
- check around house, such as on porches, back door etc, to see if mailman left in another spot
- ask if another member of the household may have taken it in or a neighbor took it up for safe keeping.

If package is still not found then unfortunately it may have been stolen. In this case, I recommend making a police report about your stolen item. If police are aware they may be able to locate your stolen goods or be aware that an unscrupulous person is targeting your neighborhood and stealing packages.

However, while I sincerely commiserate, I cannot replace or refund for a stolen package. I can however offer you a discount on a repurchase (varies on the product) once you furnish a copy of the police report of the report number for verification purposes.

> If package is marked delivered but GPS shows it was left someplace else than your home
- ask the post office to retrieve your mail
- If near to your location, ask neighbor to return your mail
If attempts to retrieve mail fail, I will gladly refund or replace item and ship as per original ship method.
